A bit about me…
Growing up I had always had a fascination for words and the immense power they possess over reality. They can create a truth, communicate an idea, persuade others, or simply embellish the most mundane routine. Since words were my obsession, I decided to pursue a degree that would take me their way, so I studied Literature back in Bogotá, Colombia, where I was born and raised.
After I graduated, and once I came to the beautiful New York City, I was able to start working first as a journalist and then as a translator. The latter role gave me the opportunity to work transcreating marketing campaigns for different types of brands and target audiences, which led me to find a new passion for marketing, branding, and communications.
That new passion of mine (that feels so familiar at the same time) guided me to where I am today: being part of the Branding and Integrated Communications Master’s program at CUNY’s City College of New York. I am now on my way to becoming a PR practitioner and communications strategist who can bring a fresh and insightful perspective to any project I take.
